Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll join a high-performing analytics and engineering team to design, build, and deploy advanced data solutions that power strategic decision-making across the organization. You’ll work with complex datasets, modern cloud platforms, and scalable big-data technologies to drive insights in banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and risk & compliance teams to deliver predictive models, fraud-detection systems, and robust data pipelines.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing end-to-end data science solutions, from data exploration to production deployment
• Building advanced predictive models and machine learning pipelines to support risk, fraud, and operational use cases
• Implementing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows for large and diverse datasets
• Managing and transforming data using Python, R, SQL, and Java
• Working with large-scale big-data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark)
• Maintaining and improving databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Developing dashboards, reports, and insights using Power BI
• Ensuring full adherence to banking regulations, including Basel III, GDPR, and CCPA
• Collaborating across teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
• Documenting models, processes, and data pipelines to ensure transparency and auditability

YOUR SKILLS

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or in an advanced analytics role
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Java
• Solid experience with MySQL & PostgreSQL database management
• Proven expertise with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems
• Strong skills in data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes
• Experience developing and deploying predictive models
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboarding and visualization
• Deep industry knowledge in banking operations, products, services & regulatory environments
• Solid understanding of risk management methodologies
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance (Basel III, GDPR, CCPA)
• Hands-on experience in fraud detection techniques and models
• Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Wherescape, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
• Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus
